Doha .. Abusing a writer attacked Qatar on Al Jazeera
Cairo: HelloEgy.
The Egyptian authorities have succeeded to releaseThe journalist and writer Dr. Nabil Sharaf Al-Dein, who has been imprisoned and attacked by the Qatari authorities at Doha air port.
Sharaf Al-Dein was subjected to verbal and corpal abuse in the air port after he has criticized the Qatari regime and its plot against Egypt and other Arab countries, while he was there to participate in a TV program at Al Jazeera channel.
The electronic newspaper Ilaf has published that Sharaf Al-Dein is imprisoned at Al Doha air port since Thursday noon till now, and he has subjected to fierce verbal and corpal abuse including kicking and slapping, besides the ill-treatment and abuses he received from his captors. Sharaf Al Dein tells the whole story through some tweets on “Twitter” and “Facebook”.
Tweet 1 : Thanks to Allah I’m back to Egypt after I was captured in Al Doha air port, I was subjected to several abuses from some Qatari investigators. And without the help of some powerful authorities, I would have been arrested and accused of some fake issue.
Tweet 2: When I was getting my passport approved, some Qatari guy accompanied me to a room where I found four others. When I asked them who are they and what they want, some of them hit me. Then I called some acquaintance of mine and told him what is happening to me.
Tweet 3: While I was trying to call someone they kept hitting and abusing me that I couldn’t make the call. When I called Mr. Hazem Abdel Azeem they took the phone and hit me again, and threatened to put me in prison.
Tweet 4: They were not dressing a uniform. The older one of them assaulted me by the worst words I’ve ever heard. And told me that he would fabricate a case, he said: “we will teach you how to speak about your masters slum dog”. They took my entire luggage.
Tweet 5: After hours of hitting and abuses, they imprisoned me in the same room for 5 hours I felt like years. Then a young man came with some people and asked me what happened, as if he doesn’t know. Tweet 6 : I told him “you know everything” then a huge man behind him hit me which made the young man angry and asked all of them to go out, and talk with me alone. He said “we will let you leave but be more polite while talking about your masters”, and left me in prison.
Tweet 7: Finally someone came; he didn’t talk to me at all. He just delivered my luggage. Then an Egyptian politician called me and said that without their intervention, I would be accused of a fake case and arrested. I will tell the other details later.
Tweet 8: Thanks Allah I come back safely, and I would like to thank the Egyptian military and politicians for saving me from unexpected trap. Of course Qatar will deny the accident, but Egypt wouldn’t let me down.
Tweet 9: I would like to thank you all for your concern, and I apologize for all who advised me but I didn’t listen. I didn’t expect that a state may act like gangs, thanks Allah Egypt doesn’t let its citizens down.
Sharaf Al-Dein stopped posting on Twitter since then, after he told about an argument that had happened between him and the Vice President of “Al Wassat” party Hatem Azam, who lives in Doha. His friends asked him to reply through the web site, but he didn’t.
The mystery was over after publishing a tweet posted by the political activist Dr Hazem Abdel Azeem. He said “Dr Nabil had called me, but the voice wasn’t clear. He was abused in Qatar, what did the Egyptian ministry of foreign affairs do about that?”
Later, Abdel Azeem posted criticizing the performance of the state; he said “till now there is no statement about Nabil Sharaf Al-Dein who was arrested and abused in Qatar and its dirty policy, what did Al Beblawy and Nabil Fahmy do about that?” Hafez Abou Sada, the President of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights, posted on Twitter:”I demand the release of Nabil Sharaf Al-Dein immediately, the Egyptian government must intervene to release him now”.
In his recent tweets, Sharaf Al-Dein has launched an attack on the Qatari channel Al Jazeera and Rasd network that belong to the Muslim Brotherhood, he said “Rasd is working for Qatar; the disaster is that it works inside Egypt like a spy”. Dr Sharaf Al-Dein is well known for his national situations and opposition to the ruling regime in Qatar that conspires against the Egyptian revolution and incites violence and terrorism.
The attack of the Qatari authorities on Nabil Sharaf has raised protests through Facebook and Twitter in which a huge number of members demanded expelling of the Qatari ambassador from Cairo, and asked to cut the political relationships with the Qatari regime.
Some political activists have criticized the Egyptian government silence about the abuse the Egyptian journalist had suffered in Qatar. They asked the "journalists' union" to release a statement considering this accident and escalate the matter to the universal press and human rights organizations.
A wide range of Egyptians describe Qatar as the agent of the Unites States, that carries on a Western agenda to destroy the Arab world and searching for a regional role in the Arab world.
Last December, The Egyptian judiciary has prevented the broadcasting of Al Jazeera channel in Egypt for its role in provoking chaos, terrorism, and political strife, rigging news media, and the transferring false image about the real situation in Egypt.
Since June 30, 2013 and till now, 31 Egyptians who works for that channel, including reporters, anchors, and technicians have resigned because the channel had broadcasted fake videos, on purpose, about the real situation in Egypt to support the former regime of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Egyptians have thrown the government that was supported by Qatar, after millions have participated in the revolution of June 30, the revolution which was supported by the army and the political forces. They all agreed to remove former President Mohamed Morsi and put a map to return to democracy.
