Italian Deputy Accompanies Her Child To The Parliament
Cairo: Helloegy. In the time while the mother in the Arab countries is punished if she accompanied her child to work, an Italian deputy in the European Parliament has accompanied her daughter Victoria , since she was an infant, to the parliamentary sessions in Strasbourg, because she doesn't trust nannies and fear from leaving her with a family member.
The photo captured for the Italian deputy Lisia Ronzuly feeding her baby has caused debate in the mass media all over the world. The photo has set as the symbol of motherhood that overcomes every thing, it has been considered as the symbol for the working mother who has the ability to succeed and attain the highest positions without neglecting her responsibility towards her children.
Their story began three years ago when the mother was chosen to be a member of the European parliament. The mother faced the problem of having a baby at that time, and because she refused to ask help from nannies, she decided to take the baby with her to the parliament sessions.
And because of the nature of the parliament and its long sessions, the baby used to spend her most time their with her mother while she was still few months old. With spontaneous actions, the baby some times votes affecting by her mother of course.
The baby girl Victoria added a special atmosphere to the parliament, specially the members used to meet her every day with kisses and candies, and she also welcomed them. She usually spends her time playing with her doll or with her mum's cell phone.
A lot of members have admired the mother for her bravery , and they assert that the existence of the baby doesn't represent any abstraction in the mother's work as a deputy, it rather gives her a chance to be more effective because she feels safe about her baby.
Ronzuly doesn't admit with nannies as means to help the working mothers, and she refuses to leave her daughter even for a moment alone. It is not a mere a personal view, but rather a political one. She has prosecuted for the mothers' right to take her baby with her for work.
Now, after three years, the baby looks older, no doubt that will give her a political culture. Last week , Reuters agency has published some photos of the deputy and her daughter , these photos were captured in September 2010 and November 2013 to show how the baby grew up , she is different of any other baby, she is born to be a deputy .
