A sentence of prison 15 years to the "Poet "who expose democracy Qatar
Cairo : Al Sahafa. Today, Al Tamieez Court in Qatar has sentenced Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Agamy, nicknamed "the Son of Wolf", a Qatari poet who is accused of calling to overthrow the regime in his poem, of 15 years in prison . Last February, the Court of Appeal sentenced 15 years in prison on the Son of Wolf, as a reduced sentence of life imprisonment because of sharing his '' political poem'' at his apartment in Cairo. On November 29, The Qatari State Security Court sentenced life imprisonment on the poet for the charges of " insulting the symbols of the state and inciting to the overthrow of the government." Amnesty International has reported in late October that on November 16 the Son of Wolf , also called ''Genie of poetry", was arrested for incitement to overthrow the government and insulting the former prince Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, when they asked for his release. In its statement , Amnesty International said that the Qatar Public Prosecution based its charges against the poet for his poem in which he criticized the former Prince Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa in 2010. The United Nations has already criticized the sentence issued on the Son of Wolf, and also UN High Commissioner for Human Rights expressed its "deep concern" about the detention of the poet in Qatar. Cecile Pouilly, the spokeswoman of UNHCR in Geneva, expressed their concern about the unjust nature of this trial, which was full of defects in the proceedings and sentences which were issued in closed sessions. The cause of the trial is the poem of "Jasmine", which was written in 2011 in the light of the Arab Spring. The poem is published on YouTube and includes praises on the Tunisian Revolution that led to the impeachment of Zane El Abdeen Bin Ali , and wishes that changes might reach the other Arab countries with strong obvious hints that may refer to the regime in Qatar. The poem contains a Vitriol on the former Prince Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa who gave up his power to his son Tamim , the thing that surprised all the observers who considered it as a "soft" coup similar to what the former prince carried out himself on his father more than ten years ago. Nagib Al Naiemy , the poet's lawyer, described the sentence as "a political one" and said that there is no democracy in their country to allow them to re-open the investigation. According to the lawyer, the Son of Wolf is in Solitary confinement two years ago. The Kuwaiti political analyst Ayed Al-Manna, commenting on the final sentence , said that he is sorry for hearing such harsh unfair sentence, he added : "I wish that authorities would be more magnanimous and accept criticism with an open mind specially if it isn't a personal attacks". Observers also satire on the obvious duplicity of the Qatari regime. While "Al Jazeera" channel's slogan depends on accepting all opinions and differences, and asks for freedom of opinion and expression, it couldn't accept the opinions of a Qatari poet expressed in a poem . The Qatari regime speaks all the time about freedom and claims its concern about it. It appears as the most important supporter of the Arab Spring specially in Egypt, Tunis, Libya, and Syria . It hosts and establishes national organizations to support democracy, but at the same time; this regime represents the most tyrant dictator political rule system by the "Rule of princes" –a royal like regime- that has no place for democracy, transparency , or accounting system. The Qatari regime also claims defending the Arab issues while it is considered as the most obvious "American Policy Subordinate". Qatar has Al Udeid Air Base which is the largest U. S. military base in the world . This regime claims working in favor of the Arab issues, but it actually saves money to attract politicians, support the Muslim Brotherhood organization, and stir plots in Egypt , Syria, and Tunis in the favor of the implementation of the American agenda. In spite of the huge propaganda Qatar uses to convince the world of its fake democratic perceptions -which is represented in Al Jazeera Chanel- the fact of being a dictator regime that trades by freedom as an issue, as the Muslim Brotherhood trades on Islam, is now proved.
